Hi! I'm Ashley!

Hi! I’m Ashley!

I’m so excited to share my life with you. I have been praying about this moment for months now, and here I am! Blogging!! I’m so excited. I truly believe freedom can be found through Christ in all aspects of life- whether that be as a Christian, a spouse, a child, a sibling, a coworker, a leader, a volunteer, a teacher, a runner, a diabetic—all of these which I am! I want this blog to be an encouragement to those of us that find ourselves living in a world that is not our home. I want to share my struggles and my successes with you as I experience life, all for the sole purpose of glorifying and worshiping my Lord. I hope you are encouraged to live a better, FREER life for the one true reason- Jesus.

Here is my favorite bible verse since I was in high school--- I have many "favorites," but this one keeps me grounded and of course, FREE:

"Be joyful always, pray continually, and give thanks in all circumstances; for this is God's will for you in Christ Jesus." 1 Thessalonians 5:16-18

Sometimes life can be overwhelming, but when I remember to be joyful, to always pray, and to always give thanks-- even when it's hard to find 1 reason to do those things- then the "uncertainties" of life lift and freedom and peace take over. Remember the verse in Jeremiah? When the Lord told the exiles, "For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans for good and not for evil, to give you a future and a hope." Jeremiah 29:11- ESV) Now there is freedom. When our relationship with God comes first, and we trust him to lead us, everything else will fall into place. Life may not happen the way "we" think it should, but it's His plan- can the clay say to the potter, "Why are you molding me this way?"

Thanks for stopping by, check out my pages where I talk about living in freedom in the many aspects of my daily life: Health and Diabetes, Eating, Relationship with God and others, and Exercise and Running. I  pray that together we can live as people who are free.

"Live as people who are free, not using your freedom as a cover-up for evil, but living as servants of God. Honor everyone. Love the people. Fear God. Honor the ruler." 1 Peter 2:16-17

In His Freedom,

Ashley
